10 things

You don't say! I'm a big winner of the Honest Scrap award so kindly given to me by my fellow blogger, Surge. You can give her a shout-out @ her blog, time surge. She's cheeky, witty and Canadian. Plus, she likes my blog. Love her!

Here's the skinny on what to do if you find yourself the recipient of this award:

1. You must brag about the award.

2. You must include the name of the blogger who gave you the award and link back to that blogger.

3. You must choose a minimum of seven blogs that you find brilliant in content or design

4. Show their names and links and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with this award.

5. List at least ten honest things about yourself.

.........then pass it on with the instructions!

In keeping with tradition, the receiver is to list 10 things...honest things...about themselves that you, the reader, probably don't know.. I can guarantee you that you'll only be mildly entertained by my list. But here goes anyway:

  1. When I am driving and I see a pasture of cows, I roll down the window and mooooo (cowspeak for "hello"). It's a real affliction called Bovinealexia.
  2. Up until I was 14 yrs. old, I thought Amish babies were delivered via UPS in pink & blue wrapped cellophane packages....long story.
  3. I set the speed control for 4 miles over the speed limit. Always.
  4. I'm super-sensitive to smells. Good and bad. I sniff everything, but I prefer the good.
  5. I wear ear plugs when I run the sweeper...I'm also super-sensitive to obnoxious sounds.
  6. Every time I get the flu, I'm convinced I'm going to die. My grandmother died from complications of the flu, so I figure it runs in the family.
  7. I'm afraid to get the flu-shot in case I die from the symptoms of the flu, that you can exhibit.
  8. I can't wait until I'm a Grandma and can wear those cheesy sweaters with bunnies and snowmen on them.
  9. I can't drink off anyone else. Kids and hubby included. If anyone drinks from my glass or bottle, they own it.
  10. But I can kiss my cat on her little puss face.

Listing 10 things is harder than it sounds. I've seen blogs that have 100 things about a person, how can that be? They're either very interesting or very creative.

Now here's where I pass it along to 7 of my fellow bloggers. I love everyone I follow, for one reason or another, which makes it hard to choose. If you've not visited these blogs, please take a moment to check them out. You may find some inspiration and laughter. Maybe you'll favorite them, too.

Deathbed Moment - Wilma writes. She tells you what a "deathbed moment" is and you'll relate.

I'm Fat! So what! Like me Anyway - Grace writes. I really love this blogger...she's hilarious and real.

Finding Trinity - Michele writes. She's on a beautiful journey with her daughter.

The Muriels - Kelly & Sam raising adorable Charlotte. Did I mention adorable?

Adventures of WannaBe SupahMommy - I love this blogger. She is funny...in a piss-your-pants sort of way.

Never Ever Jam Today - Holli writes. She loves zombies & her hubby. And she has recently been displaced by the floods in TN. Give her some love.

Half of a Duo, Raising a Duo - An identical twin mom, raising fraternal twin boys. Loaded with photos of the kids, poetry and music. A beautiful story.

Now I will dust off my virtual mantle and find a spot to place my badge. By the way, I always wanted a mantle and in the big house we lived in, I got my wish. Except I never knew what to do with it. I polished it, propped stuff on it, rearranged the stuff. It was too much pressure, that mantle. This one's not so bad.

I'm not a big fan of people drinking from my drink either! And I do feel sorry for you for the flu worries.

AWWW....Thank you. I totally agree with the drink thing. I don't care if I sucked you, licked you, kissed you, or ate you ...if you drink from my glass...I'll kill you.
