NaBloPoMo, I'm just not that into you

I'll admit I only gave NaBloPoMo half a shot. The first impression was good enough for a second date...but then the relationship fizzled. Here's why:

I just don't want to engage in conversation that isn't coming from my heart. Whether it's something substantial or not, I want to feel it....you know? I sincerely give kudos to all those that are dedicated & creative enough to do it everyday.

So, NaBloPoMo....it's not you. Really. It's me. For some reason I just got a little nervous around you and that's no way for a relationship to start. So let's be just friends, okay? And maybe someday we'll meet again.

C,

I am out of the loop. What is NaBloPoMo anyway?

It sounds like the match just wasn't there!

Oh, sorry Tam, I've posted about it previously. I'm adding the link to the post now. It's short for "National Blog Posting Month". The objective is to post everyday for a month. It's done all year around, but in November they give a prize for your effort:)
I think it's a wonderful way to motivate yourself & encourage posting, but I just wasn't feeling it. Maybe another time:)

I'm still truckin' with NaBloPoMo. It's a lot of pressure, though, so I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. In order to keep your blog fresh and fun and ALIVE, you should post only when you feel the muse. It shouldn't be a chore...SITS sent me by, and I'm glad they did!

I'm completely with you. I can't blog just to blog. If I haven't got something to say, I'm not going to clutter the blogsphere with my dribble. If it means my blog doesn't grow or I lose followers, so be it. I want what I post to have content, not just be another post for the sake of posting.

DUDE.
So thanks for coming over to Pajamas and Coffee and commenting so I could come find your rockin blog! This post about NaBloPoMo (which I keep calling HoYoBloMo because I like Whore Your Blog Month better) CRACKED ME UP!
I actually did complete it (I say complete because I future-posted posts thru the 30th just to get the stress over with!) and I am not sure why other than I have been wanting to post more so I thought if I hurled myself into it maybe I'd come out on the other side posting more.
Anyhoo- love your blog and hope you'll stop by again!

LOL...dude! I've never heard of hoyoblomo.......but it sounds so much smoother and really rolls off the tongue, you know? LMAO.

Ahhh, well at least you gave it a go. I took one scan over the deal, and quickly closed the page LOL
I am TOTALLY with you on writing from the heart, or something that I'm in the mood to share. As for just pumping something out for the sake of words on the screen ~ NOT for me either.

Keep up the great work, and the integrity behind all that you do!!!
You rock! ;)

The irony of your post, for me, is that I did NOT sign up for NaBloPoMo, but I have blogged for every day this month, anyway, on my own (I need to schedule three more and I'll have one for every day, plus a couple days of more than one).

I DID try for NaNoWriMo and am failing miserably. So, if you happened to write a 50K word novel this month, we can canel each other out. :-)

I usually blog everyday, but if I "had to", then the fun would be sucked right out of it for me too. I think it's a good concept, but it's not for everyone.

When ya got something to say...we'll be here to read it, lol!

i agree that it is hard to post when you're not inspired! i also signed up for the nablopomo, but realized after half the month that sometimes you just need a break from the blog! disconnect to reconnect. then you have interesting things to write about. love your blog and your story! thanks for visiting me today!

Man I envy anyone who can blog everyday. I could never do it. I am lucky to get a once a week post in (my family insists on eating on a daily basis...can you imagine? Demanding bastards).

Total agreement. I blog when I have something to say and don't when I don't. Sometimes that means I have three or four written in advance and sometimes that means I go almost a week without a post. It's how I'd rather write and it's what I'd rather read.

Popping in from SITS!

I give you an E for effort because I debated partcipating and soon came to the conclusion that it wasn't happening. I'm just too busy and I choose to post three or four times a week and I plan my content in advance. So, I'm not mad at you! Have a great Thanksgiving!

I had not heard of it before but I agree it doesn't sound like something for me.
